Who is this for?
The Software Developer Training Program is ideal for independent freelance developers, small studios that lack a senior-level team member, or agencies that struggle to have time to integrate mentorship and peer review into their routine.
What is it?
- Instruction on best practices for software development, coding standards, task estimation strategies, efficient team workflows, and much more.
- Guidance on technology choices, third-party software integrations, and “buy-vs-build” decision making.
- Peer review of development work to preemptively avoid “code smells”, common traps, and insecure practices.
How does it work?
The Software Developer Training Program is a three-month course offered to you or one of your team developers. Every week we will meet for a private one-hour session where I will provide training on different aspects of effective software development. Towards the end of each session (15-30 minutes), there will be time available for general questions and code review. Additionally, students will have access to a private Slack chatroom for same-day responses to specific questions that arise between sessions.
What is the cost?
The program cost is $3,000 and is due at enrollment.
I offer a 100% “no questions asked” refund of this fee if you or your developer are not happy with the program after our first week together. Beyond the first week, no refunds will be made available. In order to offer the highest quality training, I have a limited number of spots available which are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
What are students saying?
Jesse SchuttDeveloper at Zaengle Corp
“Garrett has a way of understanding the big picture of a project and is able to move it forward by translating it into action steps. His feedback and direction significantly advanced my ability to write effective code.”
